CRREST Academy Challenge

Participating in the CRREST Academy  

If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete:

1. Registration using your name and BSU email address.

2. A pre-test. Twelve questions just to gauge your finance knowledge before the CRREST Academy. It should take about 10 minutes. 

3. A video-based learning program. There are 18 video lessons. Each video is about 3 minutes long and has an exercise at the end to apply what you learned. Learn at your own pace, just finish by November 6 @ 11:59 pm ET.

4. A post-test. Again, twelve questions to gauge your knowledge after the CRREST Academy. 

5. A feedback survey. Let us know what you think about the Academy and how we can improve it. It should take about 5 minutes.

The total amount of time to complete the Challenge should not exceed 4-5 hours from start to finish. 

Participation Rules

You must be a current student attending Bowie State University.

Participation is optional. You stop at any time. You may also skip any questions you do not want to answer.  

Cost Compensation    

You may earn prizes for achieving completion milestones. Achieving certain completion milestones will allow you to be entered into raffle drawings for prizes. The Incentive Schedule is below. 

• Participants who finish 1 pillar (3 modules) by 11:59 PM by Day 1 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($15).  
• Participants who finish 2 pillars by 11:59 PM on Day 2 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($15). 
• Participants who finish 3 pillars by 11:59 PM on Day 3 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($15).  
• Participants who finish 4 pillars by 11:59 PM on Day 4 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($15).  
• Participants who finish 5 pillars by 11:59 PM on Day 5 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($25).  
• Participants who finish 6 pillars by 11:59 PM on Day 6 of the Challenge will be entered into a raffle for 4 participants to receive a gift card ($25). 
• Participants who complete all modules, the pre- and post-test, and Feedback Survey by the last day of the Challenge, will be entered into the grand prize raffle to receive a $500 scholarship. 
  
  

Note: Gift cards will be for on-campus and/or local restaurants, the campus bookstore, and/or food delivery services.
